Microsoft Intends To Introduce Game App Store For Android And iPhone

Microsoft has now shared that it is in discussions with a number of partners to launch a mobile application store focusing on video games. This will simultaneously provide more alternatives to Android and iPhone users in getting mobile games.

This application store is expected to operate under the Xbox brand. The launch date is not known yet, but some speculations say it will be introduced as early as a year or two from now. If accurate, then we may see it become one of the earliest alternative app stores on the Apple platform.

This partnership follows on from previous reports stating that Activision Blizzard had also intended to introduce its own app store. Microsoft was previously set to take over Activision Blizzard, which has a number of popular mobile games, including Call of Duty Mobile and Candy Crush.

With this new development, let's all look forward to Microsoft's next move, and how they will provide an offering especially on the Apple platform.
