NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090D Graphics Card Is Expected To Be Launched For The Chinese Market Soon

Last month, the United States government banned the sale of a number of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards to China due to fears that the power of the processing chips contained would be used to power high-performance server machines in the country.

As a way to overcome this limitation, NVIDIA seems to have developed a new graphics card called NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090D which uses almost the same components as the original graphics card, but with lower performance.

Not many details are known about this graphics card at the moment, but what has been confirmed is that this graphics card will use the AD102-250 graphics chip which has less number of CUDA cores compared to the original graphics card. It will also come with a higher base speed rate, but without the overclocking ability.

Some reports also say that this graphics card will be introduced specifically for the Chinese market on December 28, shortly before NVIDIA will introduce the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 Super graphics card series at the CES 2024 event.

Whether this graphics card (RTX 4090D) will be allowed to be sold in the Chinese market is not yet known, but for now, American government restrictions mean that graphics cards with 4800TOPS processor capabilities are not allowed to be sold in certain markets, including China.
