RM100 eMADANI credit : You are not eligible if you do not submit a tax return for the year of assessment 2022

The Ministry of Finance has now released some additional information related to redemption for RM100 eMADANI credit through digital wallets, as well as answering some popular questions on social media related to the issue of credit redemption.

According to the Ministry of Finance, eMADANI is an effort to encourage non-cash transactions, and is targeted at Rahmah Cash Donation recipients, as well as taxpayers. For this purpose, the IRB will use the tax return for the assessment year 2022, and if the tax return for the assessment year 2022 is not submitted, then the user in question is not eligible to receive this assistance.

This is in line with the conditions set, where it is targeted for those with an income below RM100,000 based on the reported income of the 2022 assessment year.

However, it was also noted that there were isolated cases where the name registration was different on the digital wallet platform and the IRB, causing them to face problems.

If you still have problems, the Ministry of Finance states that users can appeal and get help by contacting the MOF Hotline: 03-8882-4565 / 03-8882-4566 or submit your full name and IC number to emadani@treasury.gov.my.

This eMADANI program will run until February 2024. Previously, it was stated that eMADANI applications had reached over 7 million applications on the first day alone.
