The Minister of Communications, Fahmi Fadzil today shared the agencies that will remain with the Ministry of Communications, and some agencies that will be transferred to the Digital Ministry.
Under the division of the Ministry, among the agencies that will remain under the Ministry of Communications are Bernama, the Tun Abdul Razak Broadcasting and Information Institute, the Information Department, the Broadcasting Department (including RTM), FINAS, SKMM, MyCreative Ventures, and also the new addition is JKOM.
Meanwhile, MYNIC, MDEC and the Personal Data Protection Department will be transferred to the Digital Ministry. Decisions related to Digital Nasional Berhad are expected to be made in the near future.
With this division step, it will at once facilitate the ministry's focus, in line with the step to digitize Malaysia.
