Threads Test Displaying Their Content On Mastodon

 Threads unlike X/Twitter uses the same ActivityHub protocol as Mastodon and Friendica. Because of the use of the same protocol, Mark Zuckerberg said Threads is now testing allowing their content to be displayed also on other services that use ActivityHub such as Mastodon.

With this Threads users can follow users on Mastodon in the same application. It is currently still in the testing stage according to Zuckberg and Mosseri in their two posts on Threads this morning. This is the advantage of the ActivityHub protocol as it allows users to freely use their preferred clients to enjoy the same service in the future.
