WhatsApp has been updated today with a feature that allows sending photos and videos in original quality. Through it the media content that is sent will not experience compression issues that reduce its quality. It is different from the feature of sending HD pictures that was introduced a few months ago.
Although pictures and videos can be sent in their original quality, WhatsApp puts a size limit of only 2GB per file at this time. At the same time this feature is only given to the use of iOS applications only at this time without any information when it will be given to Android users.
To use this feature select Document instead of Photos when you want to send a picture or video. Next select Choose Photo or Video and select the media you want to share. Update the app to the latest version to try it out today.
