Apple Breaks Down Supported Content And Apps On Vision Pro

 


Last year we reported that Disney+ would continue to be available inside the Apple Vision Pro on launch day. Apple will use the AOUSD standard for 3D content, where AOUSD is a 3D content standardization organization established by Pixar, Adobe, Apple, Autodesk, NVIDIA and the Joint Development Foundation.



Apple has recently announced what apps and content can be enjoyed on the Vision Pro. This content will support spatial audio, watching in a virtual space or watching in 3D. Supported streaming apps are Disney+, ESPN, NBA, MLB, PGA Tour, Max, Discovery+, Prime Video, Paramount+, Peacock, Pluto TV, Tubi, Fubo, Crunchyroll, Red Bull TV, IMAX, TikTok, and MUBI.



In addition to immersive audio, users can also enjoy content in HDR, Dolby Vision, 4K displays and time-lapse images. Disney+ subscribers will receive access to theater virtual spaces such as the El Capitan Theatre, Hollywood; Scare Floor, a Monster Inc. movie; Avengers Tower; and Luke Skywalker's landspeeder cockpit. The films Avengers: Endgame, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Encanto, Avatar: The Way of Water, Dune, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and The Super Mario Bros. Movies will also be offered in 3D.



Movies will be able to be streamed directly on streaming apps or rented/purchased on Apple TV. In Apple TV there is also some free 3D content such as Alicia Keys: Rehearsal Room, Adventure, Wild Life and Prehistoric Planet Immersive. Apple also stated that the Apple App Store and Apple Arcade will also have a special visionOS category that offers unique content.
