Apple HomePod Mini in 2020 but it is only marketed in countries that have an Apple Store only, making fans of the Apple ecosystem in Malaysia only able to bite their fingers. But yesterday the HomePod Mini appeared in the SIRIM database which is the earliest sign that it will officially go on sale in Malaysia.
With Malaysia's first Apple Store expected to open in TRX this February, we expect the HomePod Mini to go on sale in the same month. The HomePod mini is a 3.3″ smart speaker. For audio, it uses one main driver, two passive radiators to offer 360-degree audio. More interestingly, Apple also includes an Apple S5 chip, to make it smarter, a tether to two HomePod Minis for stereo settings, as well as having an Apple U1 chip for the Handoff function.
Apple HomePod Mini is sold for $99 (~RM460) in the United States. In Malaysia the selling price may be below RM500 because of the trend of Apple products being marketed at prices that are not much different from the prices in America before.
