Apple Vision Pro Can Now Be Pre-Ordered – Price Reaches RM 18,000

Apple Vision Pro can now be ordered in the United States with it going on sale publicly on February 2nd. Through Apple's official website, orders can be made on three models with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage. The pre-order process is done through Apple's website and requires a 3D scan of the face using the Face ID system on iPhones and iPads that support it.

The process of scanning the face is as simple as scanning the QR code on the page screen before the head is scanned from top to bottom, left and right. This scan needs to be done first before some questions about wearing glasses or contact lenses are asked. In some situations such as the power of the glasses being too high, the order cannot proceed because the required prescription lenses are not supported by Vision Pro.

Apple does not sell the Vision Pro as a virtual reality or augmented reality headset. Instead market it as a spatial computing device. The selling price of Apple Vision Pro in America is as below.

Apple Vision Pro (256GB) – $3499 (~RM16,494)

Apple Vision Pro (512GB) – $3699 (~RM17,437)

Apple Vision Pro (1TB) – $3899 (~RM18,380)

At the moment pre-orders are only open to users in the United States with rumors saying it will later go to the European market. Unlike other Apple products, the Vision Pro will only be sold in countries with an Apple Store because buyers will have to go through a more thorough head measurement and size verification process than just a Face ID scan.
