The ASUS ROG Phone 8 series of smart gaming devices was launched globally a few weeks ago, and now, ASUS Malaysia has announced that it will enter the Malaysian market soon, and pre-orders are already open.
ASUS Malaysia says that they will bring three models of ROG Phone 8 devices to the Malaysian market, including the basic ROG Phone 8 with a combination of 12GB/256GB memory and storage, the ROG Phone 8 Pro with a combination of 16GB/512GB and the ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition with a 24GB offering. /1TB.
These three smart device models are powered by the latest and most powerful Qualcomm processing chip, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and come with a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED screen display with FHD+ resolution (2400×1080) with a refresh rate of 165Hz and a brightness value of as high as 2500 nits.
It also runs the latest Android 14 operating system and uses the ROG UI interface which still maintains an aggressive interface design, although the physical design of the third generation of this device shows a more elegant design compared to previous models.
In terms of cameras, ASUS has also upgraded the ROG Phone 8 camera system by loading a tri-camera system with a main 50MP (Sony IMX890) + 13MP ultra-wide + 5MP with built-in OIS. For the ROG Phone 8 Pro and ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition models, the third camera comes with a 32MP sensor instead of a 5MP sensor.
The 5,500mAh battery also supports 65W fast charging that supports QC 5.0 fast charging technology and also PD 3.0 that allows the device to charge quickly, but maintain long-lasting battery health.
In the meantime, ASUS ROG Phone 8 is also the first series of smart gaming devices that comes with IP68 waterproof and dustproof certification.
On the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro and ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition devices, it also comes with a customizable AniMe Vision Mini LED display, similar to what was offered on the previous ROG Phone 7 Ultimate device. This secondary screen display output can be modified on the built-in Armory Crate software.
Like previous ASUS ROG Phone devices, ASUS also introduced a new AeroActive Cooler X cooling fan that comes with stronger cooling technology for the best device performance at optimal temperatures.
According to ASUS Malaysia, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 device series has already entered the local market and can be purchased at the following price tags:
