ASUS at CES 2024 also launched their new Zenbook Duo series. This 2024 model is the UX8406 and is the first in the world to support dual 14-inch OLED screens with 3K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. Not only that, this screen can also be removed to become a giant tablet.
This laptop screen is called ASUS Lumina OLED which is recognized by Dolby Vision, Pantone and DisplayHDR. The dual-screen hinges can be opened flat and both become a large 19.8-inch size. The screen can be detached from the keyboard to be used in many different modes such as laptop, dual-screen or shared mode. These different modes are controlled with ASUS ScreenXpert.
For the chip, ASUS chose up to Intel Core Ultra 9 with low-power NPU for AI, memory up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, storage up to 2TB PCIe SSD, 75Wh battery with 65W charging and Harmon/Kardon + Dolby Atmos stereo speakers.
