The Minister of Communications, Fahmi Fadzil has today shared some updates regarding the transfer of government agencies that were previously under the Ministry of Communications to be managed by the Digital Ministry under the management of Gobind Singh Deo.
The latest from today's announcement is the transfer of MAMPU, DNB, and Cybersecurity Malaysia agencies which will now be under the management of the Digital Ministry. He also added that Cybersecurity Malaysia will use another name, and will be announced by the Digital Ministry. In addition, the transition from Single Network to Dual Network is pending the decision of the council of ministers, and will be implemented after the decision is reached.
Another announcement is about MIMOS, which was previously under the control of the Prime Minister's Department, will be transferred back to MOSTI. However, under the management of MIMOS, there is a MYDigital project and this initiative will remain under the management of the Prime Minister's Department, and is expected to be transferred to the Digital Ministry later.
