There are only about two weeks left before the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is officially launched. The mystery is whether the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models in Malaysia will use Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chips. According to the benchmark scores found on Geekbench 6, the performance of these two chips is seen to be almost comparable.
The Exynos 2400 scored 2193 in the single-core test and 6895 in the multi-core test. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scored 2297 in the single-core test and 7104 in the multi-core test. The score difference recorded in this benchmark test is only up to 5% which can be said to be not that big.
However in Malaysia we can see that people prefer devices with Snapdragon chips. Last year Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 reigned supreme not only in processing power but also in battery life. The Dimensity 9300 which competes with our Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 obviously has less than satisfactory battery performance as was touched on in the recent Vivo X100 Pro review. If the battery performance of the Exynos 2400 is comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, perhaps the Exynos name will finally be cleared after several years of various issues.
