Infinix also presented itself at the CES 2024 event. Here they have shown three interesting technology concepts which are E-Color Shift, AirCharge and Extreme-Temp Battery. These three innovations shown have the potential to change the smartphone market if the technology is expanded.
E-Color Shift
Phones with E-Ink panel back panels have been introduced many times and they have existed since 2014 through YotaPhone. Infinix offers a difference because the E-Ink screen on the back of the E-Color Shift phone is of the colored type. Not only can the color of the back panel be changed, various patterns can also be displayed by the owner. With low power consumption, it will not affect the phone's battery.
AirCharge
AirCharge charges the phone completely wirelessly from a distance. This phone can be charged at 7.5W with a distance of up to 20 cm and a 60 degree angle from the charger. Similar technology has been demonstrated by Energous WattUp and Xioami Mi Air Charging before which has not yet been adopted on a commercial device until now.
Extreme-Temp Battery
Infinix also demonstrated battery technology that can be charged at temperatures from -40 to 60 degrees without any problems. This battery uses biomimetic electrolyte and solid state welding technology. Normally charging at extreme temperatures like this will be stopped on the device to prevent damage to the battery.
Infinix does not share which phone models will come with each of these features or that each feature on different models depends on the phone market in which country. I'm interested in AirCharge and really hope more phones can come with unique back panels.
