Communications Minister, Fahmi Fadzil has now shared that 5G network coverage in populated areas in Selangor has now reached 95.9%, according to data up to December 2023. This at the same time shows the coverage of the latest 5G network is almost comprehensive in the state of Selangor.
However, the minister also emphasized that many industry players are still not using the new technology. In addition to industry players, the number of general users using the 5G network is also still low.
Also earlier this year, the minister announced that there would be no additional charges for the use of the 5G network – thus showing that some telecommunications companies have started to remove additional charges for the 5G pass.
With this healthy development, perhaps we will see the number of 5G network users continue to increase in the coming months.
