Netflix Not Developing Apple Vision Pro Specific App – Ask Users to Use Web Version

Apple this week revealed a number of content and applications that will be supported on their headset, the Apple Vision Pro. However, one of the most used applications that was not announced together is Netflix.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Netflix said they have no plans to offer a specific app for Apple Vision Pro users at this time. At the same time, Netflix will also not allow users to run the iPad version of the app on the Apple Vision Pro.

Alternatively, users can access Netflix on the Apple Vision Pro through the Safari web browser – and watch content through it.

It is not known why Netflix chose not to participate in the special offer. Could it be that the market for headsets is too small? Previously, Netflix provided a dedicated app for Oculus through the Meta Quest Store – and it seems like it hasn't been updated for a long time.
