Nikon, Sony and Canon are now reportedly developing special technology that will include a signature on images shot using their cameras – thus ensuring they are labeled as natively recorded images rather than based on generative image generators.
Through the sign that will be included, it is expected to also include information such as the date, place, and recorder on the image data.
With Nikon, Sony and Canon controlling the majority of the world's camera market, it is expected to help in identifying original photos and which are generative photos.
Sony and Canon are expected to introduce cameras with this integration as early as 2024.
