Nokia, Honor Sign 5G Patent Licensing Agreement

 Honor signs agreement with Nokia for 5G patent licensing. The signing of the agreement covers both parties' fundamental inventions in 5G and other cellular technologies.

This collaboration with Nokia is also said to reflect Honor's commitment to innovation to enable smart infrastructure to be utilized across various scenarios for everyone.

Nokia added that it is the fourth major smartphone deal that has been signed within 12 months. However, the terms of the agreement remain confidential between the two parties only including the value of the payment.

To date, Nokia holds over 20,000 patents with over 6000 of them related to 5G technology. For the record, Nokia has also extended the license agreement with Samsung and Apple in 2023.
