Xiaomi Malaysia today has done a surprise by launching the Poco X6, Poco X6 Pro and Poco M6 Pro before the Redmi Note 13. According to Xiaomi, all three devices are targeted at the Gen-Z group that loves streaming, streaming and social media.
Poco X6
The device comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED 120Hz, 1.5K, 500 nits screen, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and supports Dolby Vision display. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, paired with memory and storage up to 12GB LPDDR4X and 512GB UFS 2.2. The camera is 64+8+2 MP OIS, 16MP selfie camera, 5100mAh battery and 67W fast charging.
It runs the HyperOS Android 14 operating system which makes it the first Xiaomi device of 2024 out of the box with the latest operating system. Still has an under-screen fingerprint scanner, infrared sensor and IP54 protection. Three color options are offered which are black, blue or white. The design of the device is also premium and aims for a design that is more or less the same for most Xiaomi 2024 devices.
Poco X6 Pro
Overall, the Pro model brings more or less the same specifications. From design to screen. The body of the X6 Pro looks more premium and the interior is more powerful. For example, the chip used is Dimensity 8200-Ultra with memory and storage up to 12GB LPDDDR5X and 512GB UFS 4.0. The camera is the same which is 64+8+2 Megapixel with a 16 MP selfie camera in the hole in the screen.
The device's battery is 5000mAh with 67W fast charging, also runs HyperOS, has an infrared sensor, is IP54 waterproof and offers a choice of yellow, gray or black colors. According to Poco, the X6 Pro is their most powerful model for early 2024.
Poco M6 Pro
Lastly is the most basic model. The screen is also the same but limited to FHD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 protection only. The chip is Helio G99-Ultra which is matched with memory and storage up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS 2.2. The camera configuration also remains the same which is 64+8+2 Megapixels with a 16MP selfie camera.
It also runs HyperOS, has IP54 protection, infrared sensor, 3.5mm audio jack but no 5G. The battery is 5000mAh with 67W fast charging and an under-screen fingerprint scanner is also offered. The Poco M6 Pro comes in black, blue or purple color options.
Price
Here are the official selling prices for all three new Poco models. In conjunction with the launch, Xiaomi Malaysia is offering a discount if you buy this device on Shopee or Lazada. For Poco X6 Pro and M6 Pro, promotional sales can be found on Shopee at prices starting at RM1299 and RM839. While the Poco X6 is limited on Lazada with prices starting at RM1059.
