Updated 9 January 2024 – Today ZTE Malaysia partnered with DirectD to relaunch the RedMagic 9 Pro for the Malaysian market. The price announcement on December 28 confirmed by ZTE Malaysia that it is not an official set but a global set that is only sold at Shopee Mall without an official guarantee by them.
The new unit they launched is for sale at physical stores and the Shopee Nubia Redmagic MY store. The models offered are RedMagic 9 Pro in Sleet color 12/256 GB at a price of RM3499 and RedMagic 9 Pro in Cyclone or Snowfall color 16/512 GB at a price of RM4399. In conjunction with this new launch, those who purchase the RedMagic 9 Pro will receive a Redmagic TWS worth RM269 for free and an 18-month warranty compared to 12 months in physical stores.
Original article December 28 – RedMagic 9 Pro is a new gaming device entering the Malaysian market. It is also the first gaming device with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip that can take advantage of the Ray Tracing feature. Like the previous model, the RedMagic 9 Pro also focuses on a frameless screen design with a selfie camera under the screen and this time uses a completely flat back panel design without a thick camera bump.
The latest device will be launched in Malaysia on January 3 next. In conjunction with the launch, early sales at discounted prices will be held from January 1 until January 8. Only one model was brought into the local market which is the RedMagic 9 Pro, no Pro+ with two variants which are 12/256 GB at a price of RM3,699 and 16/512 GB at a price of RM44.99. In conjunction with the promotion, this device can be purchased at a price of RM2,949 and RM3,749.
The device comes with a 6.8-inch BOE AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2480 X 1116 pixels, 120Hz. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, memory up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The ICE 13's new cooling system uses a physical fan spinning at a rate of 22,000 RPM. The device is also powered by an additional Red Core R2 Pro chip for a better first-time experience.
For the rear camera, a 50+50+2 Megapixel sensor is used with a 16MP selfie camera below the screen. The battery capacity is 5500mAh with 80W fast charging. The speaker is stereo with Magic Sound technology, the device also supports WiFi 7 and still includes a 3.5mm audio jack port. The RedMagic 9 Pro also runs the Redmagic OS 9 operating system based on Android 14.
The 12/256 GB model can only be obtained in Sleet color, while the 16/512 GB model can choose Cyclone or Snowfall colors. This exclusive sale with discounts of up to RM750 each is limited to Shopee only.
