Samsung has offered The Frame smart TV since 2017 as a way to allow the television to become a picture frame when not in use. A variety of top-notch artwork as well as frame personalization options are offered to customers. At CES 2024, Samsung also launched the Music Frame, which is a smart speaker that looks like a picture frame.
The Music Frame is equipped with two woofers, two tweeters and two midrange drivers that allow it to play Dolby Atmos audio. If two Music Frames are owned, they can work in stereo with up to five being combined simultaneously. Through the Samsung SpaceFit system, the speaker will automatically adjust the audio according to the size of the room. Music devices can be tethered to the Music Frame using bluetooth as well as a WiFi connection but Samsung has not confirmed AirPlay 2 support at this point.
Because it is a Samsung product, this picture frame speaker can also be used as a hub for SmartThings internet of things devices. Each frame has an acrylic cover where the owner can choose to place a photo or print their own artwork on the front. The selling price of the Samsung Music Frame has not yet been announced at the time of writing.
