Sheryl Sandberg Will Leave Meta After 16 Years With The Company

Many know Mark Zuckerberg as the founder and CEO of Facebook and Meta, but another individual who raised the company's name as it began to grow, and made it one of the most valuable technology companies in the world, was Sheryl Sandberg.

Former Facebook and Meta COO, Sheryl Sandberg is responsible for bringing in revenue for the company. During his tenure at Facebook, the company's revenue has increased by 43 thousand percent, increasing the value of the company dramatically in the near future.

Sheryl has been with Facebook since 2008, and in those 16 years, 14 of them were when she held the position of Chief Operating Officer, and 12 of them were also when she joined Facebook's board of directors.

Having stepped down as COO two years ago, Sheryl remains a member of Meta's board of directors, but has now decided to leave the company entirely. Even so, he also said that in this short term, he will still advise the company's board of directors.

So far it is not known who will replace Sheryl Sandberg as a director of Meta, with the company still focused on the world of virtual reality for now.
