Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, 7+ Gen 1 and 7s Gen 2 chips are rarely seen in smartphones on the market. Usually Xiaomi, Poco or Honor only in Malaysia. Even so, the chip under this series still has potential because Qualcomm will present Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
Interestingly, if so far the chip under the Snapdragon 7 series uses a build similar to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 - 7 Gen 3 is said to follow the more powerful 8 Gen 3 build. This means that this chip will use a CPU with a configuration of 1x Cortex-X4 + 5x Cortex-A720 + 2x Cortex-A520.
In other words, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip can really compete with the 8 Gen 3 for the premium mid-range. Is this why the Snapdragon 8+ series is no longer heard? Qualcomm wants to bring the most powerful chip for flagship devices, then a roughly equal chip with slightly lower power for devices in the affordable class? Let's wait together.
