SoundCloud is one of the platforms that many people use to share the music they create and develop. It is developed in a social form, and has its own fans.
Most recently, the services that were introduced around 2007 are said to want to be sold by their owners. SoundCloud has investors from the Raine Group as well as Temasek Holdings – who want to sell the SoundCloud service at a value of up to $1 billion.
For now, it is not known who will potentially buy it. SoundCloud today has over 40 million artists using their platform, and has released over 320 million pieces of content through it. We look forward to hearing more about SoundCloud in the coming weeks.
