OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R have already been launched for the global market. The OnePlus 12 comes with a camera that can mimic the Hasselblad X2D 100C and the OnePlus 12R comes with the world's first LTPO4 AMOLED screen. There is one more thing that caught my attention, which is their collection of official protective frames.
OnePlus introduced a Walnut protective frame with a real walnut wood texture for the OnePlus 12. This protective frame with a wood finish was last offered on the OnePlus 6 series. It actually started with the OnePlus 2 through StyleSwap which is a swappable back panel. Then it has been a frame only since the OnePlus 3. For now it is still uncertain if a special edition of the OnePlus 12 with a special back panel like the OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock will be offered.
As always, OnePlus also offers the classic Sandstone and Aramid Fiber. While the OnePlus 12R only received the Classic Texture option with carbon fiber and Sandstone patterns. The retail price is around $19.99 (~RM94) for each frame.
