Thousands of Apple Vision Pros Ordered by Scalpers With Bots – Sold for 70% More

The most advanced mixed reality headset Apple Vision Pro can already be pre-ordered with open sales starting February 2. The price of Apple Vision Pro reaches RM18,000 and it is believed that 160,000 to 180,000 units have been ordered.

For someone to buy an Apple Vision Pro, it's more difficult than buying an iPhone or a MacBook. Because Apple requires users to log in with an Apple ID as well as perform a head scan for the best size. Most recently, Kasada, a bot-fighting firm, reported that thousands of Apple Vision Pros had been ordered by scalpers using bots and successfully bypassing head scans for purchase.

According to this firm, out of the many boats that tried to wholesale Vision Pro - one managed to order 1,592 units. Sales are made on eBay with prices reaching 70% more expensive. 9to5Mac reports some sellers are offering up to $10,000 for a single unit.

If you're wondering, can those who bought the Vision Pro from a scalper wear it comfortably? The answer is, yes. This is because Apple allows each Vision Pro to be replaced with another unit if it is the wrong size. In fact, this scalper also offers buyers to directly pick up at Apple's physical store after buying with them in order to receive help from Apple employees for the setup process and others.

In Malaysia, scalpers are only known for wholesale iPhones from Hong Kong, Singapore or the United States and sell them at high prices. At the moment it is still uncertain if Vision Pro will be sold in Malaysia or not and if there will be scalpers willing to wholesale Vision Pro to be offered to fans in Malaysia.
