TikTok is a platform that has successfully re-popularized old songs like Dreams by Fleetwood Mac and produced new stars like Jain through his viral song Makeba. Although seen as a platform popularizing human-made music now, TikTok is currently testing an "AI Song" feature that generates music using artificial intelligence.
This feature started being activated for some users a week ago according to a report by The Verge. It is generated using Bloom's artificial intelligence model. Users just need to enter a promo into AI Song and short music of various genres will be generated by it. The resulting song at this time sounds quite strange.
It is not known if this feature will be rolled out to everyone or just a short-term test by Bytedance. AI Song is similar to the Dream Tracks for Shorts and Music AI features introduced by YouTube to generate background music for video use on the platform.
