TikTok Tests A Feature That Can Identify Objects In A Video, And Bring Users To Buy In The TikTok Shop


 TikTok is ready to focus on e-commerce integration on their platform, which makes it easy for users to buy goods and various products without leaving the app. Most recently, TikTok also went one step further, by making it possible for users to make purchases from any video on the platform.



Through the latest tests, TikTok is testing a feature that can automatically identify objects in a video, and then suggest users to find similar products through the TikTok Shop. When clicked, it will lead to the TikTok Shop with similar products and allow the user to get the product.


TikTok confirmed that this test is being done at an early stage.


With this move, it also changes the style of using TikTok, where users can make purchases from any video sharing on TikTok, and not just sharing in the form of sales. This is also expected to indirectly increase the rate of user purchases on the platform.
