Update Your iPhone To iOS 17.3 For Stolen Device Protection

 


In December last year, Apple introduced the Stolen Device Protection feature, which provides an additional layer of security to users' iPhones to prevent them from being stolen. Now, iOS 17.3 can be downloaded by all eligible iPhone users to activate this feature.



This Stolen Device Protection turns off passcode support when trying to access passwords and banking card information by relying entirely on Face ID or Touch ID. Then this feature also requires a person to wait an hour when trying to change the Apple ID password. Then they need to do a second identity verification with Face ID or Touch ID.



Interestingly, this feature also tracks the location of the device. If it is around the user's office or home, this feature will not be activated, Here are some other settings that require Face ID or Touch ID authentication;

To activate this feature, go to settings and find Face ID & Passcode > Enter passcode > Find Stolen Device Protection > Activate with Face ID or Touch ID authentication.
