Various Tech Companies Start 2024 By Laying Off Employees – From Lazada To Google

 

The year 2024 is now seen to begin with various technology companies starting to reduce the number of employees in their companies - in an effort to increase the level of efficiency in the company, while at the same time reducing operating costs.

As of the first two weeks of January 2024, a large number of companies have started to reduce the number of employees, including Lazada, Discord, Amazon Prime Video, Google, Twitch, Unity, Duolingo, Pixar and so on.

Several companies have also begun to announce service terminations – including InVision and Artifact.

The number of terminated employees is expected to continue to increase in the coming weeks, in addition to technology companies that will further optimize hiring.
