The Vivo G2 has been officially launched as a new entry-level device with built-in 5G. The introduction also makes it one of the first phones under the Vivo G series for the Chinese market.
Vivo G2 uses a 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution (1612 x 720 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate. It also offers a screen-to-body ratio of 89.67% with a contrast ratio of 1500:1.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chip is used as the mainstay. In addition to loading 4/8GB RAM LPDDR4X memory and 128/256GB UFS2.2 internal storage. A 5000mAh battery comes with 15W charging. Followed by a 13MP main camera and a 5MP selfie camera.
The sales price in China starts at RMB 1,199 (~RM786.42) for 4/128GB, and rises to RMB 1,899 (~RM1,245.55) (8/256GB) one. Citing a GSMArena report, the specifications offered actually resemble a Vivo Y36i, so it is thought that this device is just a rebrand.
