vivo Malaysia has today launched two new flagship devices that focus on photography, the vivo X100 and vivo X100 Pro. Both devices are powered by the Dimensity 9300 chip, run Funtouch OS 14, use the Zeiss camera system and also support fast charging and IP68 protection. vivo X100 Pro
The device comes with a 6.78″ LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ display. It is said to support a brightness of up to 3000 nits. For the processing chip, the Dimensity 9300 is matched with 16GB RAM LPDDR5X memory + 16GB RAM virtual memory and 512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage. vivo also includes a special vivo V3 chip to further improve picture quality.
The camera of the device is 50MP 1″ Sony IMX989 + 50MP periscope telephoto 4.3x optical zoom + 50MP ultra wide angle and 32MP selfie camera. The Zeiss system is retained for more creative and unique portrait purposes. vivo also brings new night mode features such as more stable Astro and Astro Portrait. The X100 Pro is also equipped with IP68 protection, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and an infrared sensor.
Battery capacity is 5400mAh with vivo FlashCharge 100W fast charging. 50W wireless charging support is also included and the device runs Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. This makes the vivo X100 Pro one of the most complete flagship devices for early 2024. The audio system despite the lack of a 3.5mm port, Hi-Fi audio support and stereo speakers are provided. In Malaysia vivo only brings in one variant which is Startrail Blue or Asteroid Black with 16/512 GB storage.
vivo X100
It is an affordable model in this series. The vivo X100 uses many of the same specifications as the Pro. Like the screen, the design and software are the same. The first difference is that it doesn't have wireless charging, the second is that the main wide-angle sensor uses 50MP which is not 1-inch. Then a telephoto sensor using the 64MP type with 3x optical zoom only.
vivo X100 also uses a smaller battery of 5000mAh but supports faster charging, 120W FlashCharge. IP68 protection is also given to this device. This model is also limited with one variant which is 16/512 GB.
In Malaysia, the vivo X100 Pro is sold at a price of RM4599 while the vivo X100 is sold at a price of RM3499. In conjunction with the launch of this device, vivo Malaysia is offering vivo TWS 2e and vivo Selection Smart Watch worth RM568 for free to those who purchase the vivo X100 Pro.
