The new update of WhatsApp will allow users to transfer Channel ownership to other members. It is considered another way to increase flexibility in managing a Channel, through which the original owner can transfer rights and responsibilities to other members to become administrators.
This implementation is very useful, especially when a Channel has more followers, or perhaps the administrator faces issues and challenges in managing the Channel effectively. Once the ownership transfer process is complete, the original administrator is still retained, while being given the option to remove any new administrator at their discretion. However there is no ability to delete channels directly.
It is however still under development and will be available in future updates through the settings space.
