X Removed NFT Support For Profile Pictures

 Last 2022, Twitter added NFT support to their service, allowing users to set it as a profile picture. It was introduced in a limited way to Twitter Blue paid users only.

However, now through the 2024 update, the X party is seen to have removed support for it. Users can no longer set NFT as a profile picture – however for users who have already set it, display support for it has not been removed for now.

Previously, in addition to X, Instagram and Facebook have also removed NFT support on their platforms after experimenting with it for several months. With X also dropping it, will we see other platforms take similar steps?
