X Says They Are Now A Video-Primary Platform


 X was previously known as Twitter, with a focus on text-based sharing. However, now in 2024, things have changed, and X is now a platform that looks to prioritize video.



According to X's sharing, in 8 out of 10 user sessions, it was found that the user was watching a video. In parallel, X has introduced several viewing methods - including Immersive Video which sees over 100 million users every day.


In addition to that, X also offers the ability to upload long videos, and saw many people start watching videos longer than 30 minutes.


In line with this development, X also stated that it will work with a number of content publishers to publish exclusive original content on the platform. With the addition of content as well, it is indirectly expected to further increase the platform's ad revenue.
