Adobe now states they have no plans to continue investing in Adobe XD software that focuses on interface design on the web and mobile applications.
For information, Adobe previously aimed to take over Figma, which is expected to replace part of the product portfolio focusing on interface design. At the time of the acquisition announcement itself, Adobe readily stated that it would discontinue Adobe XD after the acquisition process.
However, now that the takeover has been cancelled, Adobe still chooses not to continue investing in the development of Adobe XD.
Sharing further, Adobe stated that they will continue to focus on opportunities in the arena of imaging, design, animation, web, and even 3D -s in addition to design assistance support through the integration of artificial intelligence.
