Google appears to be rebranding their generative AI feature Bard to Gemini to align with their multi-language model. This Gemini-powered Bard is also getting more powerful, now supporting generating text to images. Google is also expected to offer Bard Advanced to paid users.
Recently, the Bard changelog list has been leaked. It states that starting February 7 Bard will be changed to Gemini. Gemini Pro is the multi-language model for the Gemini chatbot in all countries where Gemini is offered. Not only that, the subscription plan that Google will offer is for Gemini Advanced which is powered by Gemini Ultra.
This changelog list also states that special apps for Android and iOS will also be offered. According to sources, this application will have an interface similar to Google Assistant and Gemini will continue to be integrated with other Google services such as Gmail, Maps, and YouTube.
The new Gemini will also allow users to upload documents to be scanned and generate new content. The Gemini will most likely be offered to Google Pixel devices and the Samsung Galaxy S24 series first for users in the United States.
