Bluesky is an alternative to X developed by former Twitter developer Jack Dorsey. This social media platform emphasizes decentralized features, allowing users to bring content and profiles to the platform. This is enabled because Bluesky uses the AT protocol, like Threads with Mastodon.
A few days ago, Bluesky announced that registration to their platform is now open after almost a year exclusively for invitations. They now report having over 4 million users with over 850,000 new users since yesterday. It is a proud number because, just three months ago they received around 2 million users.
Bluesky offers an X-like user experience, for example, can play audio or video, supports hiding sharing, TweetDeck-like features through Deck.Blue, and also offers applications for Android, iOS and web users.
