The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CelcomDigi Berhad to drive the implementation of smart cities in Hulu Klang, effective for ten years starting today.
Cooperation through this MoU will also support MPAJ's Smart City Framework developed to transform Ampang Jaya into a smart city, which also focuses on several smart components including smart governance.
Through the collaboration, both parties basically agreed to create a sustainable smart city through the implementation of advanced technology such as 5G solutions and robust fiber infrastructure in improving the quality of life of the community in the area.
In addition, the signing of this MoU also enables both parties to identify the best smart city solutions, as well as transform Hulu Klang into an integrated district. In addition to being complete with a modern environment that can promote economic growth and improve the welfare of the population.
Through this collaboration as well, CelcomDigi will lead a 'sandbox' that brings together all relevant parties in smart city solutions such as entrepreneurs, suppliers and device manufacturers.
