Deepest Underground Building To Be Built In Saudi Arabia

In Neom, Saudi Arabia has some super mega projects that have never existed in other countries. The Line for example is the longest building in history with it reaching 170 kilometers. There is also a plan to build a 2km high building in Riyadh as well as the Mukaab building which will be the largest cube-shaped building in the world. In short, all the architectural world records will be located in Saudi Arabia.

Not satisfied with the longest and tallest building, Saudi Arabia also built the deepest underground building. The Aquellum project in Neom will be the deepest "inverted tower" in the world. A 100 meter deep empty space will be the attraction at Aquellum which is built above sea level.

At the top there is a pedestrian area and a floating marina. While inside there is a hotel, movie theater, museum and Tea Generator research lab to produce new ideas. The large foyer in the center of Aquellum will be a visitor attraction as no building like this exists now.

The firm LAVA and Name Architecture is involved in a project that has not yet announced the construction date and when it is expected to be completed. In short, if you used to want to see a unique architectural project you had to go to Dubai, now you only have to go to Neom.
