After more than seven years in development, eHang finally started selling their "flying car" in China at a price of RMB 2.39 million (~RM 1.5 million) each. The eHang EH 216-s can carry two passengers with its waterbang operation. With a single charge it can fly as far as 30km with a speed that can reach 130kmh.
eHang is the first manufacturer authorized to offer flying taxi services in China. For the past three years they have also been testing it for tourism purposes in Guangzhou. Although already available for purchase in China, sales are open for commercial purposes rather than for personal ownership.
eHang EH 216 is related to Malaysia. In 2019 the Super Dron was announced as "Malaysia's first flying car" but it was just an imported EH 216. After this fact was revealed, we no longer hear any news about this "locally made flying car".
