Foodpanda May Not Be Sold To Another Party – Said To Have Reached Breakeven Point

 


Delivery Hero is the parent company that owns the FoodPanda brand in the Southeast Asian region. Most recently, through an interview with CNBC, the CEO of Delivery Hero stated that they are happy to keep the Foodpanda business under them "forever". According to him, Foodpanda has now reached the break-even point, and no longer affects their profits.


It is also added, FoodPanda is a business in a region that is growing rapidly – that is in Southeast Asia which is the focus of many parties and investors, as well as having more potential to grow. It was also emphasized that they have no reason to sell it at this time.


Previously, Delivery Hero stated that it was open to selling Foodpanda and discussed with several parties. However, a few weeks ago it was reported that discussions to sell it with Grab failed to reach a conclusion. The CEO's latest comments are a continuation of that, and maybe we will see Delivery Hero keep the Foodpanda brand for the time being under them without selling it to another party.
