The Garmin Forerunner 165 is officially launched as an affordable GPS watch. It is specially developed for all runners, whether beginners or veterans with various fitness functions. In addition to being available in two model options namely Standard and Music.
Both are seen to share most of the same functions. But the advantage is provided on the Music version that has storage support and WiFi. The body is made of different materials which include glass on the watch face and fiber reinforced polymer for the bezel. The five control buttons on the side of the body are also redesigned for ease of use.
The color AMOLED screen used is 1.2″ with a resolution of 390 x 390 pixels. Also included are standard health and fitness sensors such as heart rate monitoring, sleep time, pressure and blood oxygen. There is also a built-in GPS which is very useful for outdoor activities, in addition to the training support can also be adjusted for a more flexible experience.
The battery can operate up to 11 days in smart watch mode, and increases to 20 days with saving mode. More versatile controls can be accessed through the shared use of the Garmin Connect app. The Forerunner 165 is sold with a starting price of $249.99 (~RM1,197) (standard) and $299.99 (~RM1,437) (Music).
