Google has now started informing local users who use their services, including Google Ads, Google Workspace and so on, regarding the increase in the SST charge rate to 8% starting March 1, 2024.
The current SST rate is 6%, and it will be increased to 8%, in line with the government's announcement during the previous Budget 2024.
This will indirectly lead to a slight increase in the cost that users have to pay in using Google services, etc.
Previously, it was informed that service tax will increase to 8%, except for food and beverage services, telecommunications, car parking and logistics which will be maintained at 6%.
