Google Assistant Application Now Replaced With Gemini

Google Gemini Advcanced has already launched to the public as a paid generative artificial intelligence service powered by Gemini Ultra. The subscription plan is Google One AI Premium which costs RM97.99 per month. If you are in Malaysia and have subscribed to it, this AI can be accessed via the web and if you are lucky the Gemini app will continue to be listed on the Play Store.

Since I've subscribed to it, my account allows me to download Gemini directly on the Play Store. What's strange is, after downloading I realized the Google Assistant app has disappeared and there are two Gemini icons appearing. When I press one, it says "Gemini doesn't support this feature". This means, the Gemini application has replaced Assistant.

I have no problem with this because it's easy to access interesting AI features. But the problem is that Gemini still can't do many Assistant functions and the settings to use the Assistant have been hidden. Currently there is no switch to easily change. If you still can't download Gemini on the Play Store, the latest APK file is available for download.
