Through an update on the support page published by Samsung, they now inform that the virtual assistant Google Assistant will no longer be available on Samsung televisions, starting March 1, 2024. Samsung states that this change is due to a change in Google's policy.
Previously, there were a number of Samsung TVs that came with the Google Assistant virtual assistant, including smart televisions of 2020, 2021 and even 2022.
With this change, users can choose some other alternatives to use, including the likes of Bixby or Amazon Alexa. It is not known whether this change in Google policy is related to the introduction of Gemini this week or not.
