Google Changes Its Mind, YouTube App Will Come to Vision Pro

Apple Vision Pro is a spatial computing headset that uses mixed reality technology. It is also one of the most advanced headsets on the market and the price reaches tens of thousands of Ringgit. Before Vision Pro was launched, several companies had announced that they would not release special applications for Vision Pro.

Among them are Netflix, Spotify, YouTube and several others. One of the reasons is that the number of users is still not many. Netflix and Spotify also stated that although visionOS is built on iPadOS, their applications will not be supported on Apple's new platform and users should use Safari.

Recently, Google seems to have changed its mind and stated that a special YouTube app for Vision Pro is now in their plans. No date was given, but YouTube representative Jessica Gibby said they are also excited about Vision Pro's launch.

360-degree and VR video content by YouTube is said not to be supported on Vision Pro. This application for YouTube is not certain whether these two video formats will be supported on Apple headsets or will only bring the viewing experience in a virtual immersive world.
