Google seems to be continuing their efforts with folding phones. After the Pixel Fold was introduced, this year they are expected to launch the Pixel Fold 2 as well. Android Authority recently shared a leaked image of the device as well as some of the device's specifications.
The Pixel Fold 2 is said to use the Tensor G4 chip. Not only that, it is also said to be the first Pixel device with 16GB of RAM memory. Sources also state that the Pixel Fold 2 could potentially launch alongside the Pixel 9 around October or the fourth quarter of 2024. But the device may be announced as early as May 2024 during the Google I/O event.
Google is also seen to have switched to a bumpy camera bar design like its competitors. The outer screen is seen to be thinner with the inner screen said to be more square for better application support. The device is said to come with 16GB RAM memory with storage starting at 256GB. The increased memory is most likely for the generative AI feature that is processed from within the device. Let's wait together.
