Google Removes "Android File Transfer" Link For Mac - Quick Share Coming?

MacBook users will usually have an iPhone. Very rarely do I see Mac users Android phone users. This is because macOS and Android are not very friendly, especially for transferring files between these two devices. Therefore, Google offers the Android File Transfer application. But recently the link has been removed.

Although on the main website the link has been removed, Android File Transfer can still be downloaded via the direct link or Google's customer service page. According to sources, this link was removed around after the Android 15 Developer Preview was introduced. The speculation is, Google may be developing Quick Share for macOS after Android and Windows gradually receive this change update from Nearby Share.

If Quick Share is introduced for macOS, it will be easier for Android users to transfer their files. Now Android users can only hope that Quick Share will also be offered to iOS if Apple does not block the use of this feature like they block the use of iMessage on Android devices.
