Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP) today announced that they have started injecting direct investment into two local start-up companies, namely Bateriku and Lapasar. This investment was made under the Pioneer Fund strategy by KWAP - which aims to invest up to RM500 million under the said strategy.
Two local start-up companies that received direct investment injections are Bateriku and Lapasar.
Bateriku is one of the services that focuses on car battery replacement services by connecting to the nearby ecosystem. Today, Bateriku has more than 170 stores nationwide.
While Lapasar is a wholesale sales platform that targets SME companies, with a focus on food and retail products.
With this investment, KWAP aims that these two companies will continue to grow rapidly, while also receiving KWAP's support in continuing their success.
KWAP also stated that it will announce more investments under the Pilot Fund in the future.
